Elle est \u00e9galement membre du conseil consultatif scientifique de la Meso Foundation. R\u00e9cemment, le Dr Zauderer a re\u00e7u le prix de d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re pour financer son projet de recherche sur le m\u00e9soth\u00e9liome.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>La Dre Zauderer a re\u00e7u le prix de d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re pour son projet de recherche actuel portant sur le r\u00f4le du g\u00e8ne BAP 1 (prot\u00e9ine associ\u00e9e au g\u00e8ne BRCA-1) dans le m\u00e9soth\u00e9liome. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que les mutations h\u00e9r\u00e9ditaires du g\u00e8ne BAP1 pr\u00e9disposent les patients au m\u00e9soth\u00e9liome pleural malin. \u00ab Une meilleure compr\u00e9hension de ce g\u00e8ne pourrait permettre de mieux comprendre le m\u00e9soth\u00e9liome et la fa\u00e7on dont il se d\u00e9veloppe chez les patients \u00bb, d\u00e9clare la Dre Zauderer.<\/p>\n<p>Le Dr Zauderer a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler sur ce projet il y a trois ans et a collect\u00e9 des \u00e9chantillons pendant toute cette p\u00e9riode. Elle pr\u00e9voit que suffisamment d&#039;\u00e9chantillons seront collect\u00e9s d&#039;ici un an ou deux pour commencer des analyses qui pourraient fournir des informations et des statistiques significatives. Son objectif dans 3 \u00e0 5 ans est de disposer d&#039;un m\u00e9dicament plausible qui a d\u00e9j\u00e0 termin\u00e9 les tests de phase 1 ou qui est pr\u00eat \u00e0 commencer les tests de phase 1 dans les essais cliniques.<\/p>\n<p>Dans une interview, le Dr Zauderer a exprim\u00e9 sa passion pour son travail, citant les nombreux essais de candidature \u00e0 l&#039;universit\u00e9 qu&#039;elle a r\u00e9cemment consult\u00e9s. \u00ab Toutes mes candidatures portaient sur la mani\u00e8re dont je souhaitais utiliser la g\u00e9n\u00e9tique pour aider la m\u00e9decine. 20 ans plus tard, c&#039;est exactement ce que je fais \u00bb, d\u00e9clare Zauderer.<\/p>\n<p>La bourse de d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re offre un financement du minist\u00e8re de la D\u00e9fense pour soutenir un projet de recherche sp\u00e9cifique. Le financement est accord\u00e9 au projet s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 sur une p\u00e9riode de trois ans, au cours de laquelle certains \u00e9l\u00e9ments de recherche doivent \u00eatre respect\u00e9s et des objectifs sp\u00e9cifiques atteints.
