Overview

Master Apprentice Competition

The Master Apprentice Competition was developed to promote and highlight the skills our apprenticeship programs produce throughout the year. The 20th Annual Master Apprentice Competition was held at the 47th Annual Apprenticeship Conference in Orlando, Florida, in 2024. We had all of our International Conferences represented, and again, the contestants proved that the future of our trade is in great hands.

Joint Apprenticeship & Training Conference

Join the IIIATF in Chicago for our premier event as we host the JATC Conference. Coordinators, Trainers, and Trustees throughout North America will descend upon the Windy City to learn about the latest industry trends, technology, and other important topics, plus receive updates from the IIIATF.

We will give the MAC Exam on Sunday, June 22, at 1:00 PM. ALL Contestants MUST attend to take the exam at that time. MAC Participants, Local JATC Representatives with the MAC Participant, and Steering Committee Members will be required to meet at 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 22, in the hotel's conference center to review all the competition details. Meeting room TBD
The Rules and Guidelines for the 2025 MAC Competition are enclosed. The scoring will be as follows: Written Test – 10% and Hands-on Work – 90%. The Apprentice member must be in good standing in our International Union at the time of the Competition and be an Apprentice as of March 1, 2025. Reminder: Any Apprentice that has previously competed in the International MAC will NOT be eligible to compete in the 2025 Competition.
All MAC contestants will be issued the International Apprentice International Uniform, which consists of 3 pairs of pants and 3 shirts from the IIIATF on the evening of June 22. Each contestant will be required to wear the uniform during the competition.
