Structure

Duration:
32 hours of thermography instruction over 4 days of training 8 Hours of data entry training Total of 40 hours
Standards:
Adheres to the training standards of the American Society of Non-destructive Testing (ASNT)
Content:
General theory, application, equipment functionality and usage, image interpretation and documentation procedures.
Focus:
Qualitative infrared (thermal) image capture, understanding and interpretation.

Overview

Registration is closed.

Level II certification will give you the practical inspection tools you need to level up your thermography game. The Level II certification course will take you deeper into the science that influences how infrared images look, and how to get more accurate measurements than ever. You will also learn the practical tools of the trade that will allow you to analyze your images and understand what they are telling you, given the equipment you are inspecting and the conditions you are working in.

Must have completed Thermography Level 1 to register for Thermography Level 2.

Once completed, those holding a Level 2 Certification can now train Level 1 members.

Travel and Accommodation

  • Cover tuition, room, all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and travel expenses to the class.
  • Not cover cab/shuttle/limo costs from nearby airports to the Maritime Institute. The Maritime Institute offers a courtesy shuttle service that operates to and from Baltimore Washington Airport (BWI).
  • Not reimburse participant wages.

Room and tax charges will be directly billed to the IIIATF. Participants are responsible for all other room charges. After attending the training, a travel voucher will be emailed to each student using the email used for registration. Under the IIIATF Travel Policy, travel reimbursement will be paid to either the Local or the JATC.
